Achieve Smaller Contours with a Breast Reduction and Implants

Many women with overly large breasts experience discomfort due to the extra weight in their chests. They may seek a breast reduction procedure to eliminate neck, shoulder, or back pain. However, there are some cases in which a breast reduction alone cannot achieve the aesthetic results you desire. At Clínica Trapero in Mazatlán, Mexico, Dr. Conrado Trapero can combine a breast reduction with implants to remove excess breast tissue while providing a desirable contour. This technique is also useful for correcting asymmetries in the bust and revising previous breast procedures.

Explore Your Candidacy for Surgery

One of the most common reasons women seek a breast reduction is discomfort, such as pain in the shoulders or chafing under the bustline. A breast reduction with implants can address a variety of cosmetic concerns, such as:

  • Long upper chest
  • Larger breasts that sit low
  • Sagging
  • Flatness in the upper portion of the chest

You must be in good overall health to undergo a breast reduction. It is also important to have realistic expectations about what this procedure can achieve. You can discuss your cosmetic goals and expectations with Dr. Trapero during an initial consultation. If he believes this treatment will not deliver the results you desire, he may recommend an alternative breast procedure, such as a breast lift

Your Reduction with Implants Procedure

There are three stages to a breast reduction with implants, all of which are performed in a single surgery appointment at a fully equipped local hospital. First, Dr. Trapero will perform a reduction by removing tissue from the lower section of the breast. The amount of tissue removed depends on your current and desired cup size.

By combining the techniques of the breast reduction and augmentation, this procedure removes loose saggy tissue while also adding firmness and fullness to your breasts.

Next, using the same incision, Dr. Trapero will place an implant behind the pectoralis muscle. The size and shape of your implant will be determined before your procedure. Depending on your needs, we can provide high-quality saline or silicone implants from Motiva® and Allergan Natrelle®. The final step is reshaping the breast. The remaining breast tissue is lifted and contoured around the implant. This stage may involve the relocation of the nipple and areola for more natural-looking results.

Benefits of a Breast Reduction with Implants

By combining the techniques of the breast reduction and augmentation, this procedure removes loose saggy tissue while also adding firmness and fullness to your breasts. After the treatment, your breasts will likely appear much higher on your chest, making your abdomen seem longer and your upper chest shorter. Most patients enjoy a higher, tighter, rounder bustline after undergoing this procedure with Dr. Trapero.
